Winfield State School is situated on the southern side of the beautiful Baffle Creek, approximately 60 kilometres north of Bundaberg and 4 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean. To the north are the coastal communities of Agnes Water and The Town of 1770.

Winfield State School is a co-educational facility catering for students from prep to year 6, and also Remote Kindy from 2017. The school offers a comprehensive, individualised program for all students with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy skills and understandings.

Multi-age classes promote and support the understanding that different age groups can be achieving at the same or similar level, while maintaining healthy social and emotional well-being and development.

The school has a strong relationship with neighbouring schools and collaborates with them to celebrate significant events such as Under 8’s Day, Arts council performances, theatre productions, cluster sports and transition days for students progressing into high school.

The five key successes from the ‘You can do it’ program are used to help guide student behaviour.  The key characteristics of resilience, persistence, organisation, confidence and getting along are values that the school community feels will enable children to function in the community.
