School grounds and ovals
Winfield State School is bordered by macadamia farms, pine trees and palm trees. The original building was built in 1926 and is surrounded by lovely native gardens. Huge mango trees and camphor laurel trees shade the playground and eating area.
Students have access to a multi-purpose tennis court, cricket net and oval. It is a very picturesque school that also features an orchard supplying the community with avocadoes, lychees, limes, mandarins and oranges. As well as the original school building, there is an air-conditioned classroom and a brand new, well-equipped library.
To help students operate in this digital world, they are able to access an interactive smart board, laptop computers, digital mobile devices, digital cameras and video recorders to assist in their learning.
